    Speed Mentoring

    The Experience

Don't have the time for a formal mentoring commitment, and want to get development feedback? Join this event as you quickly meet with our experts.

    What is speed mentoring?

Modeled after speed dating, speed mentoring is a quick one-time meeting or discussion that enables an individual to learn and seek guidance from a more experienced person who can pass on relevant knowledge and experience.

The purpose of speed mentoring is to provide a valuable learning opportunity for individuals that are seeking a boost in their career while requiring a limited commitment of time from a more experienced mentor.

While mentors and mentees can mutually decide to meet again after their speed mentoring session, the commitment is to participate only in the initial meeting.

    Bring

Prepare yourself because time flies! Bring business cards, recent resume, list of questions and a notebook/journal.

    Leadership Involvement Day

    FranklinCovey’s 5 Choices

(This will take the place of our Monthly Chapter Meeting)

    The Experience

ATD-LA’s Leadership Involvement Day is your opportunity to network with your colleagues. Meet with the Board as they share news and information about the chapter.

At the event, FranklinCovey’s Leena Rinne, co-author of one of the bestselling books, The Five Choices: The Path to Extraordinary Productivity, explains how talent development professionals can apply these fascinating techniques.

    Accountability Starts with You!

As talent development professions, we can become too busy helping others solve their business problems and not taking the time to care for our own.

FranklinCovey studied 351,613 respondents that spent 40% of their time on activities that were not important, either to themselves or to their organization.

These results represent ordinary productivity, mediocre results, and individuals feeling a lack of accomplishment at the end of the day.

Reducing that number by just 50% means your organization will have greater alignment and focused attention on the most important things, creating a culture of extraordinary productivity.

    Facilitator

Leena Rinne co-authored, FranklinCovey's The 5 Choices. She has over 10 years of experience in international business and relationship management.

    Treats will be provided.
